You can store such shots directly on the camera’s 512 MB memory. But you can always expand the volume of images and videos you can store by purchasing the optional SD card and then transferring the images/videos to your computer via the USB cable (included).
When you connect the USB cable, Celestron 44340 camera is represented in your Windows (or Apple) explorer as a “removable disk.” You can transform your 3GP video clips to other popular video formats like MPG or AVI by downloading one of the many conversion tools (software) that you can easily locate on the Internet by searching for “convert from 3gp format to avi format”.
A nice bonus: the camera date- and time-stamps your images automatically so you do not need to remember when they were taken.
You can take advantage of different color configurations thanks to the six-position color filter wheel. That means if one color filter does not work under a specific lighting condition, you can switch to another filter until you get a crisp and well-defined image.
